Britania islands are group of 24 little paradise beautifully scattered in Lianga Bay, these islands are pride of the village Britania in Surigao del Sur province.
A place where uninhabited islands levitate between clear salt waters and sea strands. With the sand of white and similar to dusts. It is a perfect place for individuals who seek peace, refreshing and unforgettable moments .It is a “collection of islands with individual names”.
You can find it quite unimaginable how one could actually fully enjoy each of these islands. You can swim, relax, hangout with family and friends. Hagonoy island
Amazing white sandy beach and coconut trees swaying slowly in the cool ocean breeze, the constant sound of the ocean waves, creates a perfectly idyllic setting.
Naked island
This Islet is a white sand bar with some rocks. You may swim on both sides of the island with its clear blue waters. It’s quite small and local tourists would only stop here to take photos. In our case though, Waves come from both sides covering the island at every surge.
Hyor-hyoran island
A nice wide open beach lined with a handful of palm trees, it is also full of seaweeds and corals around the islet. Snorkeling is possible if you have your gear.
Boslon island
the largest islet, surrounded by different rock formations on one side; on the other are powdery white sands stretching out to the sea waters
How to get there:
From Davao City,
Ride a bus at Ecoland Terminal bound for Tandag City and get off at Barangay Salvacion in San Agustin.
Bus trips:
Davao to tandag- 12 midnight and 6 am (the trip takes 6 hours)
From the main road in Salvacion,
After arriving at Salvasion, you can hire a habal-habal to take you to barangay Britania, the ride usually takes 15 minutes. On your way, you’ll pass the Salvacion Tourism where you’ll pay Php 25.00 fot the environmental fee. The tourism office may also assist you in looking for a boat for island hopping tour. However, depending on your number and how long you intend to stay in the islands.
