Rated 3.5 stars by the Philippine traveler, Hagimit falls is a great place for anyone who loves waterfalls. This hidden heaven in Samal is an alternate when going to the island's well-known beaches gets too overrated. The clean cold water is invigorating and refreshing. The falls' surroundings is also relaxing. The greenery shades us from the heat of the sun and its location makes it a perfect get away from the busy city life. The locals who were there were very friendly and approachable.

Hagimit falls might be placed in a well-known island, but this little utopia is still untouched by its locals. Thus, accommodations are not fully developed, and there are no souvenir shops present. Electricity is also an issue as it is still progressing. Yet, even with all these issues, camping is still a popular activity in the area.

HOW TO GET THERE:

1. If you are from Davao, you can ride a ferry to Samal Island.

2. Once you have reached your destination, hire a tricycle or single motorcycles to to take you to Hagimit.

3. Upon arriving, you will have to take a little hike to get to the actual falls.

4. Feast your eyes with the little paradise laid in front of you.

overall, it was a great place and if given the chance, I will definitely visit again.

Thanks for reading.
